چکیده

This paper's supplementary materials include the Matlab codes that solve the system of equations (6), (8) and (14) for a perfectly wetting fluid (θ e = 0 o). The input parameters to set are the radius of the large and the small fiber, a 1 and a 2 respectively. • wet prog.m is the program to run to compute the evolution of the wrapping angles α 1 and α 2 , the inter-fiber distance d and the radius of curvature R. The value of a 1 and a 2 can be modified in this code. • equation wet.m contains the system of equation to be solve. This program is used by the main program (wet prog.m). • Cross Section Area.m calculate and plot the evolution of the cross-section areã A. • Plot Cross Section.m plot the shape of the cross-section. It requires the presence of the code circle.m to run.

Time evolution with the density-matrix renormalization-group algorithm: a generic implementation for strongly correlated electronic systems.

A detailed description of the time-step-targeting time evolution method within the density-matrix renormalization-group algorithm is presented. The focus of this publication is on the implementation of the algorithm and its generic application. The case of one-site excitations within a Hubbard model is analyzed as a test for the algorithm, using open chains and two-leg ladder geometries. The ac...

Predicting the continuation of a function with applications to call center data

We show how to construct the best linear unbiased predictor (BLUP) for the continuation of a curve, and apply the proposed estimator to real-world call center data. Using the BLUP, we demonstrate prediction of the workload process, both directly and based on prediction of the arrival counts. The Matlab code and all data sets in the presented examples are available in the supplementary material....
